Title

Dream' kept alive by prophet's words, march, study

Description

Student newspaper article written by Cynthia A. Griffin. As U.S. Congress was considering creating a national holiday for Martin Luther King Jr., Griffin investigates the other ways the civil rights advocate’s memory will live on. Griffin interviewed Professor Golden who was researching race relations in the Civil Rights Movement. Golden explained that many Jewish community leaders were skeptical of that year’s march theme which was expanded to jobs, peace, and freedom from the earlier theme, jobs and peace.
