<text>Two separate letters to the editor in response to the Lantern’s November 21, 1989 interview with Greg Carr. Undergraduate student P. Allen Barrett wrote the first letter, titled “Harsh response.” As Barrett explains his disagreement with Carr’s Afrocentric ideology, Barrett insults Carr by calling him “racist” and “simple.” Undergraduate student David Bernstein wrote the second letter titled “Let’s be friends.” Bernstein explains that he found some of Carr's words anti-semetic but lacking maliciousness. He calls for unity between the Black and Jewish communities.</text>
